What items can I drop off?We accept a wide range of textiles, including clothing (clean and dry), paired shoes, household linens (towels, sheets, blankets), purses, backpacks, hats, belts, and small toys. View the full list here.

What items can’t I drop off?We cannot accept items that are wet, mildewed, or contaminated. Additionally, we do not take carpets, rugs, rollerblades, ice skates, heavy winter boots, or items with sharp objects like metal spikes. View all accepted (and not accepted) items here.

What happens to the clothing and textiles after I donate?Once collected, your donations are sorted at our facility. Usable items are repurposed or sold in reuse markets, while non-reusable textiles are recycled into materials like fibers for insulation, stuffing, or industrial applications.

Can I schedule a pick-up for bulk textiles?Yes! If you have bulk quantities of clothing or textiles, contact us at paul@remainsinc.com or call 314-865-0303 to schedule a pick-up.

How do fundraising drives work?We partner with schools, charities, and organizations to host textile drives. We provide collection trailers, and your organization collects the items. Proceeds from the collected textiles go directly to your group as a fundraising effort. Navigate to our Fundraising page for more information.

What happens to items that can’t be reused?Non-reusable textiles are processed into fibers that can be used in products like furniture stuffing, insulation, and carpet padding. We strive to ensure nearly nothing goes to waste.

Where is the drop off?Textiles can be dropped off at our facility located in St. Louis, MO. Remains LLC 3340 Morganford Rd, St. Louis, MO 63116 Open: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 17 Joy Avenue, Webster Groves, MO 63119 Open: 24/7 For small donations, use the Yellow "house" and drop in your textiles. For bulk textiles, please contact us.

Do you accept textiles from businesses or organizations?Absolutely! We work with thrift stores, charities, schools, and businesses to recycle textiles in bulk. Contact us to discuss how we can assist with your organization’s needs.

How does textile recycling help the environment?Textile recycling reduces landfill waste, saves resources like water and cotton, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. Recycling up to 50,000 pounds of textiles daily helps us make a significant positive impact on the environment.
